LOCCOL Scout Privacy Policy
(V0.1 Pre-TestFlight Deployment)

Introduction

This policy explains what information LOCCOL Scout collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

LOCCOL Scout (the "App") is operated by LOCCOL LLC ("LOCCOL", "we", "us"). The App is the iOS version of LOCCOL Scout, our location scouting and pre-visualization platform available at https://www.loccolscout.app. It lets you view and work with 3D scans of locations and, where you choose, capture location data and 3D scans, and upload other content such as video and still images in any format, including 360 and standard.

This policy applies to the App and to the LOCCOL Scout web service that the App connects to. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Version 0.1 (pre-TestFlight). Effective date: October 6, 2026

Information We Collect

We collect only what the App needs to provide its features.

Account information.
Name, email address, and login credentials. If you sign in with Apple or another single sign-on provider, we receive the identifiers and profile details that provider shares with us. If you use Sign in with Apple's private email relay, we receive only the relay address.

‍Location data. With your permission, the App uses your device's precise location (GPS) to support location-based scouting features. You can turn this off in iOS Settings at any time.

Camera, scan, and media content.
With your permission, the App uses the camera and ARKit to capture 3D scans (including Gaussian splat captures), video, and still images, including 360 formats. This content is processed on your device and, when you upload it, on our servers and the rendering pipeline. The App shows a visible indicator whenever it is recording or capturing. Scans may incidentally include people or private property. We do not intentionally collect or analyze facial data, and we do not use it for identification, advertising, or profiling.

Motion and sensor data.
Gyroscope, accelerometer, and ARKit tracking data are used on your device to orient and display 3D scenes. This data currently stays on your device. If we add features that record camera movement and sensor data, for example for storyboarding or for rendering higher-quality versions of shots, that data may be stored and processed on our servers. We will ask for your permission before collecting it for those purposes and will update this policy.

Content you upload or create.
Scans, video, still images, projects, notes, and other content you add to LOCCOL Scout. Your content is private to your account by default. It is available only to you and to the people you choose to share it with, such as collaborators, production teams, or clients you invite. You control who has access and can remove access or delete your content at any time. We do not make your content public, and we do not use it for advertising or to train machine learning models. Our staff and service providers can access your content only when needed to operate, secure, or support the service, for example to process a scan or resolve a support request you raised, and are bound by confidentiality obligations. Your content is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is enforced by role-based permissions (Owner, Admin, Editor, and Viewer) that control whether someone can view, download, edit, or share an item. Download and preview links are short-lived. If you create a share link, you can set an expiry date, protect it with a password, limit the number of downloads, and revoke it at any time. Anyone you share content with can view, and depending on the permissions you grant, edit it, so share only with people you trust. Content you share with others is subject to their handling of it, which we do not control.

‍Device and usage information. Device model, iOS version, App version, crash reports, diagnostics, and basic usage data. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral analytics tools. Our servers keep standard logs, such as request time, the requested route, response status, and error details, for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention, and retain them for 3 months. If you choose to share crash and diagnostic data with developers in your iOS settings, we receive it through Apple. If you test a beta version through TestFlight, you may also send us feedback and crash reports through Apple's built-in tools, which may include screenshots and your email address. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Web content.
The App displays LOCCOL Scout web pages in an embedded browser. The web service uses browser storage, such as local storage and session storage, and where needed cookies, to keep you signed in and to remember settings such as your active workspace. This information is stored in the App's embedded browser. We do not use it for advertising or for tracking you across other apps or websites. Links to websites outside LOCCOL Scout open in your device's browser, where those sites' own privacy policies apply. Signing out ends your session, and deleting the App removes the stored data from your device.

How We Use Information

We use your information only for purposes directly related to the App:

We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not use your content to train machine learning models. We do not sell your personal information. If we want to use previously collected data for a new purpose, we will ask for your consent first.

Sharing And Service Providers

We share information only in these cases:

We do not share scan content, location data, or facial data with advertising platforms, data brokers, or analytics providers. The App's web pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your device's IP address and browser details when a page loads.

Retention, Security And Deletion

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then delete it as described below, unless the law requires longer retention. Uploaded scans, media, and other content are kept until you delete them or your account is closed. Items you delete are moved to the trash and permanently deleted after 30 days. When a company account is closed and deletion is requested, its data is permanently deleted after a 30-day period. Previous versions of files may be kept for up to 90 days, and database backups for up to 35 days, before they are removed.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

You can delete individual items yourself in the App. To delete your account and associated content, contact us at the address below and we will process your request within 30 days.

Your Rights, Children, Transfers, Changes And Contact

Your choices and rights. You can change camera, location, and motion permissions in iOS Settings, and withdraw consent at any time; we will stop the related collection. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise a right, contact us below.

Children.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers.
Your information is stored and processed in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to the United States. Where required, we use safeguards for those transfers.

Changes to this policy.
We may update this policy. We will post the new version with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the App or by email.
